My eyes narrowed and my temper flared but I shoved it down. Leslie was smarter than any one person should be and cooler than a Canadian winter, so if I didn't keep my head this wouldn't go well. She always seemed to be three steps ahead of me and I didn't want to be left holding the bag again.
