Indie-licious blog hop teaser

This week for a teaser, I have a snippet from Better Nature for you. I'm still working on edits and hope to have it published in May.
"I still have plenty of battles you can fight for me. Just not this one."

He frowned, his eyes refusing to meet mine. "But you know I'm here to help, right?"

I patted him on the shoulder. "I know. And as soon as I have a dragon for you to slay, I'll polish your shining armor myself."

He grinned, but I could tell by the look in his eyes we would be revisiting this conversation. "Sir Xander. It has a ring to it, you know?"
